We had a blast today picking berries. On our way to the farm, my city children were peppering me with questions about where we were headed. After I said we were going to a farm, K said, "Will there be cowboys there?" I explained that it wasn't that kind of farm. But I do think it's good for us to spend a bit of productive time in nature so that my children learn more about where their food comes from and the work that is required to grow it. It's a huge bonus that we get to have fun along the way. A sampling from today, courtesy of kind friends who not only bring, but use, their cameras:
